AI: Trust me, bro
THE MODELS

The same fluency that makes Large Language Models sound almost human is also what allows them to confidently make things up—a critical flaw known in AI as "hallucination." This issue arises when models, trained on imperfect data, guess to fill in knowledge gaps, producing answers that sound authoritative but are factually wrong.
While a small error might be funny in a chatbot, these repeated and predictable false outputs pose real security risks and destroy user trust in high-stakes fields like medicine and law. Ultimately, the future of LLMs hinges on fixing this trade-off, moving beyond systems that sound intelligent to those that are genuinely reliable and trustworthy.
