As a result of rising pessimism towards AI, several new slang terms have emerged to describe AI and the people that use it. Now the below isn't urban dictionary but, boy, will we see more slang terms come about:
AI washing: This term refers to the deceptive marketing practice where companies exaggerate the role of AI in their products or services, similar to "green washing."
Clanker: A "clanker" is a derogatory term for robots or AI systems that are perceived as a threat to human jobs or connection.
Groksucker: A "Groksucker" is a slang term for individuals who are excessively engaged with Elon Musk's xAI chatbot, Grok.
Slop: "Slop" is a term used to describe the low-quality, high-volume content that is generated by AI and is increasingly flooding the internet.
Sloppers: "Sloppers" is a term for people who have become overly reliant on ChatGPT to the point of offloading their basic cognitive processes to the AI.
